Pumpkin Carving Made Easy!

I don't know about you, but I have never had much luck carving a pumpkin. Sure it's easy to carve out the traditional triangle eyes and single-toothed mouth, but I have always been envious of those who can carve out an entire scene on a pumpkin.

Recently, I found a few sites that can help me with my frustrations, so I thought I would share!

These sites offer (mostly) free templates to assist you with your carvings. Anything from the traditional Halloween scene to Michael Jackson, Snoopy, and Where the Wild Things Are!  Enjoy!

For me, picking out a costume for a Halloween party is just as much fun as going to the party, although you may not agree.

Which is why I thought our readers could use some inspiration since party-time is just around the corner!

They offer advice on how to prepare your skin, what items are safe to use and how to achieve the look you want. For instance, to create a mole or scar, puffed rice can be glued onto your face and then painted to match your skin tone.

Also, visit your local Salvation Army or Goodwill Store for some great discounts!

Penn State Hershey Diabetes and Obesity Institute Gala

Tina has been involved with the American Diabetes Assocation and the Penn State Hershey Diabetes/Obesity Institute for over 13 years. It is a cause close to our hearts and every year, EPN happily rolls up our sleeves to ensure it is an outstanding event!

This year's theme was an amusement park type theme complete with fun and games including a12-player Wii, Skee Ball, a psychic - Pam from West of the Moon, characture artist and DJTC.

Klose Photography was on hand to take some shots, so please check their blog soon for more photos! The event took place at the Harrisburg Hershey Sheraton and Pamela's Flowers lended their talents again to this wonderful event!
